Coming Soon: Registered Designs
Updated: Feb 27, 2020
Between 1839 and 1883, designs for objects in various mediums, such as glass, ceramic, textiles, could be protected by registration in Great Britain. These protections were an alternative to trade marks or patent registration. A 1994 study compared the registered designs for glass bottles with their physical production and relationship to the colonial archaeological record as a disposable vessel. That study is now updated, digitised, and coming soon to archaeological.com.au.
